Four Dutch transport companies join forces in strategic partnership

HEERENVEEN, THE NETHERLANDS – Four Dutch transport companies, SVZ Losgestort, Van der Wal Transport Heerenveen, DJK Logistics and Schotpoort Container Transport, have announced a strategic partnership starting in January 2027. The companies will coordinate their transport planning and operations from a shared central planning facility in Heerenveen.

The partnership will be based at Leeuwarderstraatweg 123 in Heerenveen, where the four companies will work together to improve operational efficiency and make better use of their combined transport networks and available capacity.

Responding to challenges in the transport sector

The collaboration comes in response to changing conditions within the transport and logistics industry.

Rising operating costs, increasing sustainability requirements and ongoing digitalisation are creating a growing need for more efficient and future-oriented transport networks.

By joining forces and strengthening connections between their existing networks, the four companies aim to optimise the use of available vehicles, resources and transport capacity.

The partnership is also intended to improve coordination between their transport operations and further strengthen the services provided to customers.

Independent companies, shared strategic approach

The four companies emphasise that the partnership will not affect their independence.

SVZ Losgestort, Van der Wal Transport Heerenveen, DJK Logistics and Schotpoort Container Transport will continue to operate as separate legal entities.

The agreement does not involve a merger or acquisition.

Instead, the partnership focuses on combining the strengths of the individual businesses and creating greater coordination across their transport activities.

Centralised transport planning from January 2027

From January 2027, the facility at Leeuwarderstraatweg 123 in Heerenveen will serve as the central location for coordinating transport planning.

The companies will use this shared planning hub to align their operations more closely and improve the efficiency of their combined transport networks.

Through this strategic partnership, the four companies aim to establish a more efficient and future-ready transport network capable of responding to developments and challenges in the logistics industry.
